When the weather is nice:
If the weather is fine, an extensive walk along the banks of the Danube is a good idea. You can simply borrow a pram or buggy and enjoy the fresh air and the view of the neighbouring Ulm on well laid out and paved paths directly by the water. Are you enthusiastic hikers? Then explore the Bavarian-Swabian landscape in the surrounding area, which has countless great hiking trails in store for you. Depending on which route you choose, you will need a car to get to the starting point. You can get a suitable child seat from us, and you can also rent a child carrier for a relaxed hike from toddgo.
If you like animals, the Tiergarten Ulm is the right place for you, as well as the reptile zoo. Both offer the little ones the opportunity to admire the most diverse animals at close range.
When it's raining:
Of course the sun doesn't shine every day in Neu-Ulm either. But that is not a problem! A great excursion destination on such days is, for example, the children's museum. Here the rule is: try it out yourself, there is no such thing as "hands off". Marvel, explore, learn playfully and discover new things - all this is in the foreground here.
On the other side of the Danube, in Ulm, there is the first Kasperletheater in Ulm. In a cosy atmosphere, children from the age of 2 follow the exciting and funny stories of Kasperl and his friends. The interactive way of playing involves the little ones right from the start. Children's laughter is pre-programmed here!
Walks and hiking trips are of course also possible in winter when the weather is fine. If you are looking for special winter activities, the Neu-Ulm skating rink is the place to be. Skates in all sizes can be hired on site. The medieval Christmas market also takes place between the end of November and Christmas, offering fairytale hours and a hands-on programme for children.
